26 - 30 March Summer has arrived..just

Mon - Knee healing nicely and blood coagulating.  But a few aches and pains in varies limbs as a result of the fall that are now showing through.  Lovely sunny weather, almost hot in the sun,  But no exercise as I was painting granny's garage frame and porch.

Tue - Ditto weather, managed a walk to vill in sunshine after finished painting gloss.

Wed - Put guttering up on Granny's porch.  "Evergreened" lawns.  Cycled "Hemel 20" in 1hr35 (avg 12.8mph -  not that impressed) plus stop for tea and bacon sarnie (very good one) at Chipperfield

Panic-bought petrol.  Then into London to meet up with ex-SCb friends, including the infamous Gerard Shine, who, as not unusually, didn't turn up!

Thu - Lovely ride and pub lunch at the Plough in Winchmore Hill with Patrick

Fri - cycled out to met Chris who was coming over from Leighton Buzzard.  met him after 9 miles in 45 mins that then took 30 mins for the return - just shows what friendly competition can do!

23 - 25 March: Norfolk

Fri - After a quick shop for food at Holt, got bikes out and ready for ride.  I tried out the gents town bike (£10 purchase) down the gravel drive, skidded at bottom and took a lump out of my knee.
So for the rest of the day I was pathetic.  Cycle ride was postponed, and the others kindly ministered to my patheticness.  Popped back to Holt to buy medical supplies for knee.

We went to the Dun Cow at Salthouse for lunch, it was cold and windy but we braved the outside, only finding the more sheltered garden when we had finished eating

Sat - Life must go on, so we went out for a little 8mile cycle ride, it was lovely weather and views, with mad march hares in the fields.
M&A arrived about 10, and after delish brunch went to Holkam Hall for BBC Radio 3 lunchtime concert

Then walked on Holkham beach where I paddled
finishing off with a snifter in the Victoria Hotel/pub.

Dinner was Salthouse fillet and roasted veggies, followed by a drunken liar dice game Perudo.  And so to bed.

Sun - Hour forward, but up early and 5km run to beach and back.  Then off to catch 11am Seal trip.
It was chilly so we warmed up with a snifter in the A anchor at Mortson.  Then back to Cley and a walk to the beach

Casual lunch with bits bought at Picnic Fayre, left at 4ish and back home at 7pm after a easy trip.

17 - 22 March

Sat - Big day - Bach B Minor Mass in St Albans Abbey
Wonderful!

Sun - I hate Mothers Day, what an trumped up reason to buy flowers.  Anyway, we went to Windsor, then had a lovely roast beef lunch with G&N, C&L and our gorgeous Lulu.

Mon - Turned out to be a nice day, so dusted off the bikes and went for a 19.2 mile loop to Hemel in 1hr 48.  Met Thorn tandem on the way back and chatted to them over tea in Chipperfield.
Tue - Cambridge for shopping & lunch with G&N.  Nuff said

Wed - I ran to Lt Chalfont to deliver post to Robbs - footpath to Green Lane, Chienes, track to Lodge Lane, round to Robbs, down Burtons Lane, Long Lane to Lodge Lane then into CW and back home.  Weather sunny and warm, a delight.  I was well pleased, 11km in 1hr 22 mins without stopping, furthest yet.

Thu - Artist at Rex matinee then up to Norfolk, courtesy of the Hs.  Arrived about 7:30pm and had relaxing supper and vino (rather too much in my case!)

10 - 16 Mar: Glasgow

Sat Wander round the West End, nice coffee at Nadini's.  Wedding started at 1pm at University, ended 11:45 when we walked home.  Great event.

Sun  Wandered round Botanical gardens,

picked up car then took Lulu to airport.  Drove over to Drymen to Ashlands B&B.  Dinner at Clachan Inn (oldest licenced pub in Scotland)

Mon: Walked along Loch Lomond shore,

then drove to airport to catch 15:05 flight back.  At Darvells at 17:00 so quick and easy trip.  but we are tired!

Tue No exercise

Wed Ran round Common and down to shops and back, only 4.75km pace 7.20.  Pathetic.

Thu  Sunny Rootz coffee with the usual suspects:

Out to dinner with ex-SCB friends, the years rolled back.  Trained and Bromptoned into Soho, and managed to wobble back to Marylebone just about safely!

Fri Cant remember!

5 - 9 Mar:

Mon Took Toyota for its first service at Croxley Business Park with bike in back.  Cycled into Watford for minor shopping errands, then back home.  Walked to vill.  Cycled back to pick car up, making it 15 miles in total.  Chilly wind though sun came out and it was very bracing.  New bike went well, I'm pleased.

Tue Cold but got out at 7:45 and ran 7.75 times round common - 7.2 km in 53 mins - without stopping so no bad.  Walked to vill later in day. Walked to choir in evening, sang through 2nd half which I found more challenging than last week, must do a bit of practice on the side before the concert.

Wed  Wet and dismal start to the day.  Spin at 1040 then swimming, felt a tad flat and spiritless.

Thu Trip to Wisley in morning. Walked around there but no other exercise

Fri Swim then spin.  Caught evening Easyjet to Glasgow for Helena's wedding.
