4 - 21 Sept: Sant Antoni di Calonge

Fri:  Lovely day with same high wind.  Lots of huha about lack of Andy and the luggage and bike boxes, he eventually turned up at 10:15.  After breakfast, went to station to catch train to Perpingan to collect hire car, back to Cerbere at 11:30.  Managed to get bike into car (Renault Kangoo), and to Girona to pick up G&P at 13:30.  At appartement by14:30, sitting on balcony with a glass of rosado.  Popped to supermarket for supplies (i.e. red wine), and walked along beach walk to find a gelato.
Now sipping vin rouge on balcony watching the world go by while girls cycled off to check on bike hire for P.  Dinner at La Traviata, excellent as usual.

Sat: Up for morning swim, then cycle into Palamos to look at the Museo de Pescados, then coffee and walk around town.  Back for snack lunch on terrance, then general laze about.  G. went down to beach.    Out for dinner to A&D's place in the hills behind Calonge, what super hosts.

Sun: Cycled via Palamos and coffee at La Fosca to Castel beach, looked around excavated ruins on headland.  El Pla for the usual excellent lunch, and back along cycle track.  In evening cocktails at Vostra La, then saw brillant concert by Spanish Brass Luur Metals

 Back to Vostra Llar for tapas to round off a perfect evening.

Mon: Drove up to Romanya and looked at Dolman, then down to Santa Cristina to check out Les Panolles.  Went to Callela and walked around headland to Lafranc with coffee and tapas at the 3 Pins.  Drove up to the San Sebastian lighthouse, seafret came in.  Excellent evening meal at Les Panolles, best yet.

Tue: Cycled into Palmos market and bought belt and handbags.  Forecast rain, so drove out to Pubols to see Dali castle, a bit disappointing and weird.  Across country via Ullastret to twee Pals.  Attempted to have dinner at El Refugi at Romanya, but service was appalling and menu was , so left after complimentary cava!  Drove to Vostra Llar and had excellent meal (quality, value and service).

Wed: Mega thunderstorm during night and rain continues i morning.  No Sant Antoni market.  Walked to square for crema and coffee, tasting and buying cask wine for 1.80 euros per litre!  Walked around headland to look at Platja d'aro.  In evening went to Vostra Llar for cocktails and an excellent meal.

Thu:  Took Mrs M and G&P go Barcelona Airport, so now I am home alone in Palamos.  Tidied up, did laundry, pack bike and had pizza at La Traviata for dinner.  Lovely clear weather but cool breeze.

Fri: Morning swim, cloudy over sea and cool air.  Did more laundry, swept up, made beds, emptied fridge, took bags down to car.
