Sat:  Walked to vill for coffee.  Bimble to Chesham to change t-shirt in Millets, 25km and 360m heigt.
Sun: Up early to go to the "Devil in the Downs" sportiv near Horsham.  A number of sharp steep ups in the first half, then long climbs, good views form Devils Dyke on the South Downs and finally a nice glide back to Dial Post.  Weather excellent & sunny but not too hot.  Was pretty exhausted, but felt good.  Ate lots at the end!  122km in 5:42 moving, 6:14 elapsed with 1500m of climbing.  A good training day.

Mon: G to dentist in morning, then short ride to Denham in the afternoon, 30km in 1:40 with 460m climbing:

Tue: Out early for the long easy climb up Bryants Bottom - was thinking of going further and up Knop Hill, but felt I'd had enough and had to get back to take G to the Dentist.  54km, 2:45 and 560m:

Wed: Out to Thame (tea and bacon sandwich for lunch) and back up (long climb) and then along Bedlow Ridge, an area of the Chilterns I had not been to before - nice smooth ridge road and good views, but then a few climbs to get further east.  Rained for an hour, but stayed warm.  88km in 4:27 moving with 930m climbing.

Thu: Spin class at 6:40 (!), then bromptoned into London to Kensington Palace,

then, when it stopped raining, across to Globe

to see Mark Rylance in Richard III (brilliant)
then pushed bikes along embankment to dinner on balcony at Oxo Brassiere
Fri:  Up early again to pick up Jon at T5 at 6, then dropped Dr M at Hillingdon.  J to dentist at 8 in Ricky, I went to Waitrose.  G to hair at 9, then down for coffee with J and N at 10:30.
Busy morning!
