Mon - Bromptoned/trained into Kennington, then into vill for shopping - 11 miles. London cycling was fun with being in a cohort of bikes taking off from each set of lights, so nice to see lots cycling in various guises from courier to retro. Rest of day was completely emptying the rented garage, with trips to dump and Granny's to store items. Moved water butt to a different drain pipe, turned out to be a bigger job than I thought as I had to get out the big ladder to remove the top drain fitting so as to insert the lower piece - tricky to hold up a heavy metal drain pipe whilst on a ladder!
Tue - It is 'walking to work' week. Hillingdon Hospital was bottom last year, so Mrs M decided to boost the score by walking to Mt Vernon Hospital which meant setting off at 6am. A lovely bright crisp morning. Few cars around, we went across common, Berry Lane, The Drive, through Moor Park, 5.5 miles in 1:45hrs. I then rambled back a different route via Tescos to buy some fish for dinner, so for me 12 miles in total in 4 hours and 1 large blister on my left big toe.
I saw the new cows grazing on the common, they didn't mind me walking through the herd.
Wed - Recovery day, no exercise
Thu - Bought some Keen sandals to see if they are OK for my feet and walking.
Fri - Granny duty. 'Limitless' at Rex with dinner at The Gatsby.
Sat - Martin took shed. Moved more water butts. Odells to dinner.
Sun - Up early for Michael Sobell charity ride at Mt Vernon. Ride itself was 21 miles, with 11 extra t./from CW. Lovely sunny morning, followed by breakfast at Aquadrome cafe
