2 - 7 Oct: Heatwave in Blighty

Sun - Woke with Andalucia time.  Amazing weigh in and 91.6kg, less than when we left last week even after the endless tapas and vino tinto. Must be the metabolism, so went for W3/R1 around Common at 7:30.  Lovely crisp and clear.  Then it warmed up.  Mrs M and I went to the vill for shopping and a Rootz coffee, then to look for water features at Solesbridge Mill Water Gardens. I cut the lawn.  Lulu came home, we then read in the garden/on patio, and Mrs M made a cake.  Jon arrived at 5:30 and we had tapas on the patio.  Lovely evening.

Mon - Cycled into Ricky to pick up parcel for Mrs M (cycling trousers!).  Disappointing coffee at Cinnamon Square.  Back via the vill for shopping, then prepared dinner.  P&G came round for tea and to be bored by our holiday snaps, lovely to have them back in local circulation.  Nigel came round for tea/dinner.

Tue - Walked to vill for shopping, and Nigel spotted us so we went for a coffee with him.  Mrs M went to gym, I pottered around house and practiced for choir.  Walked to choir in evening, was tough but went well.

Wed - Mrs M aka Dr M went into work, I got ready for mini-ex[edition tomorrow, prepping bikes and mapping out routes.

Thu - Cycled to near Oxford.  40 miles in 4:13 moving time

Stayed at the Talkhouse where we were joined by G&P for a delighful evening and breakfast.

Fri - Off we go, back home:

45 miles in 4:18 moving time

Then down to Sathi for a quick curry.  Tiring day but a good ride.
